Will aggregators be the biggest value capturers in DeFi? Aggregators, such as Google, Facebook, Uber, Airbnb, are the biggest value capturers on the internet. When an industry becomes digitized, the profits of that industry flow heavily toward the industry's aggregators on the network. DeFi is inherently digital, so will the profits of the financial industry, or currently limited to DeFi profits, flow toward aggregators in DeFi, repeating the story that has been played out repeatedly on the internet? Exploring this question is the reason I wrote this article.
