Yesterday, the Ethereum Development Conference EDCON (Community Ethereum Development Conference) 2023 announced the final shortlisted projects for Super Demo. EDCON is one of the important events in the Ethereum ecosystem, aimed at promoting the development and application of Ethereum technology and fostering healthy growth of the Ethereum ecosystem. Super Demo aims to discover and support the most promising early-stage blockchain projects. Being selected for Super Demo provides projects with comprehensive support including funding, incubation, media exposure, technical support, and business partnerships, helping projects develop and grow more effectively.

According to the announcement, there are 4 final shortlisted projects for this Super Demo: EthStorage, an Ethereum storage rollup project; Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS), an open-source infrastructure public good for on-chain and off-chain attestations; Aspis Protocol, a custom on-chain vault for DeFi asset management; and Nerif Network, a cross-chain, decentralized smart contract automation solution.

Among these, EthStorage won first place in the EDCON 2023 Super Demo competition.

**EthStorage**

Website: https://eth-store.w3eth.io/#/

Category: Decentralized Storage

EthStorage is a storage rollup built on Ethereum that provides programmable dynamic storage based on Ethereum's data availability, particularly with EIP-4844 and Danksharding. EthStorage aims to reuse Ethereum mainnet security by regularly submitting storage proofs from the EthStorage layer-2 network to Ethereum L1, while dramatically scaling Ethereum storage at lower costs—achieving petabyte-scale capacity at one-thousandth of the storage cost.

Beyond providing decentralized data storage and management services for users, EthStorage can also provide data support for other blockchain applications and services. Through integration with other blockchain applications, EthStorage can help users achieve seamless data switching and sharing between different applications, improving user experience and convenience.

Reportedly, the project team has received official funding from the Ethereum Foundation twice, for research in data availability and L1 storage proofs respectively.

**Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS)**

Category: Decentralized Identity Authentication and Authorization Service

Ethereum Attestation Service is a blockchain-based attestation service aimed at providing users with more secure and reliable identity authentication and authorization methods. The service leverages Ethereum smart contracts and blockchain technology to provide trustworthy, tamper-proof identity authentication and authorization services, offering higher security and protection for users and applications. EAS stores user identity information on the Ethereum blockchain and manages and verifies it through smart contracts. Users can sign and authenticate their identity information with private keys, while applications can verify user identity and authorization information through public keys, enabling identity authentication and authorization management.

**Aspis Protocol**

Website: https://app.aspis.finance/

Category: Decentralized Insurance Service

Aspis Protocol is an Ethereum-based decentralized insurance protocol aimed at providing users with more secure, efficient, and transparent insurance services. The protocol uses smart contracts and blockchain technology to achieve decentralized insurance application, claims, and payout processes, effectively reducing insurance fraud and information asymmetry issues. Aspis Protocol encodes insurance contracts as smart contracts and stores contract terms and conditions on the Ethereum blockchain. Users can create insurance contracts through smart contracts and set relevant insurance terms and conditions. When insurance events occur, smart contracts automatically execute corresponding payout and claims operations, verified and confirmed by other participants on the blockchain to ensure fair and transparent payouts.

**Nerif Network**

Website: https://nerif.network/

Category: Decentralized Data Market Protocol

Nerif Network is an Ethereum-based decentralized data market protocol aimed at providing users with more secure, efficient, transparent, and trustworthy data trading and sharing services. The protocol leverages blockchain technology and smart contracts to achieve decentralized data storage, management, trading, and sharing, providing higher security and protection for data owners and users. Nerif Network stores data on the blockchain and manages and trades it through smart contracts. Data owners can upload data to the blockchain through smart contracts and set data access permissions and pricing. Data users can purchase data through smart contracts and gain data access rights after meeting access permission and pricing conditions.

Additionally, Nerif Network can provide data support for other blockchain applications and services. Through integration with other blockchain applications, Nerif Network can help users achieve seamless data switching and sharing between different applications, improving user experience and convenience.
